I will not adorn myself in dark-colored garments, nor wear such ornaments around my neck. ॥२॥\n\nश्रवण न सुनों अलि पिकबानी नयनन घन नहीं देखों ॥ नीलकमल करगहों न कबहुं श्याम सुदृष्टि न पेखों ॥३॥\nI will not listen to the voices of bees or cuckoos, nor look upon dark rainclouds with my eyes. I will never hold a blue lotus in my hand, nor cast my eyes upon beautiful Shyam. ॥३॥\n\nइतनी कहेत आयगये मोहन लीये कुंवर दूतिसंग ॥ छूट गई सबे टेक मानकी निरख कुंवरके अंग ॥४॥\nJust as she was saying this, Mohan arrived, with the messenger-sakhi accompanying the young Prince. The moment she beheld Kunwar’s beautiful form, all her firm resolves of Maan fell away. ॥४॥\n\nकहि न सकी कछूवे तिहिं अवसर जब कर सोंकर गहि लीनों ॥ सूरदास प्रभु ललित त्रिभंगी सुरतकेलि सुख दीनों ॥५॥\nAt that moment she could say nothing, when He gently took her hand in His.
