The swing-seat is studded with jewels and soaked in color, appearing as though the rays of the sun are shining upon it. ॥२॥\n\nजमुना निकट नवल हरियारी सीतल पवन झकोरे हैं। घनघोरे हैं मन्द मन्द सुर बोलत अलि पिक मोरे हैं ॥३॥\nNear the Yamuna there is fresh green growth, and cool breezes are blowing. Dark clouds fill the sky, while the bees, cuckoos, and peacocks softly give their calls. ॥३॥\n\nझोंटा बढत निकट चलि आवत जमुना नीर हिलोरें हैं। मन भोरे हैं डरप तिया उर लागत नेन निहोरे हैं ॥४॥\nAs the swing moves higher, the waves of the Yamuna water seem to come nearer. The hearts are filled with wonder; the women feel a little fear in their hearts, and their eyes look beseechingly. ॥४॥\n\nरुचिर काछनी लटक मुकुटकी उडत पीत पट छोरे हैं। फबी कोरें हैं पचरंग सारी राज रही तन गोरे हैं ॥५॥\nThe lovely waist-cloth hangs down, the ends of the crown flutter, and the loose ends of the yellow garment fly. The five-colored sari looks beautiful at its edges and shines upon the fair body. ॥५॥\n\nगावति सखी सुघर ललितादिक मिलि मलार धुनि थोरे हैं। रस घोरे हैं बीच बीच मिलवत मधुर मृदंग टकोरे हैं ॥६॥\nThe graceful sakhis, Lalita and the others, sing together in the melody of Malhar.
