See Shyam's face withered from hunger, His body so very tender ॥२॥\n\nछाँड़ो बेगि बड़ी बिरियाँ भई बीति गये युग याम ।\nतेरे भयसों निकट न आवें बोलि सके नहीं राम ॥३॥\nUntie Him quickly; a long while has passed, as if ages and watches have gone by. Out of fear of you, no one comes near, and even Ram cannot speak ॥३॥\n\nजन कारन भुज आप बंधाये बचन किये हँसि ताम ।\nताही दिनतें प्रगट सूर प्रभु दामोदरसौ नाम ॥४॥\nFor the sake of His people, He Himself had His arms bound and, smiling, fulfilled those words.
