आधो मुखनीलाम्बरसो ढांप्योविथुरी अलके सोहे ॥ एक दिशामानों मकरचांदनी एकदिशा घनबिजरी कोंधत हसे हरें मनमोहे ॥१॥ कबहूं करपल्लवसों निखारत ऊंचेले धरत जब निकसत पुर्णशशिजोहे ॥ सूरदासमदनमोहन कबके ठाढे निहारत त्रिभुवनमें  उपमाकूं कोहे ॥२॥

आधो मुखनीलाम्बरसो ढांप्योविथुरी अलके सोहे ॥ एक दिशामानों मकरचांदनी एकदिशा घनबिजरी कोंधत हसे हरें मनमोहे ॥१॥  
Half of His face is covered by the blue garment, while loose curls shine around it. On one side it seems like moonlight, and on the other like lightning flashing within a dark cloud; when He smiles, He steals the heart. ॥१॥

कबहूं करपल्लवसों निखारत ऊंचेले धरत जब निकसत पुर्णशशिजोहे ॥ सूरदासमदनमोहन कबके ठाढे निहारत त्रिभुवनमें  उपमाकूं कोहे ॥२॥  
At times He clears it aside with His tender hand and lifts it up; then His face appears like the full moon emerging. Surdas says: Madanmohan has long stood there being gazed upon—what comparison for Him can be found in all three worlds? ॥२॥

aadho mukhaneelaambaraso dhaampyovithuree alake sohe ||
ek dishaamaanon makarachaandanee ekadishaa ghanabijaree kondhat hase haren manamohe ||1||

kabahoon karapallavason nikhaarat oonchele dharat jab nikasat purnashashijohe ||
sooradaasamadanamohan kabake thaadhe nihaarat tribhuvanamen  upamaakoon kohe ||2||
