आज आये मेरे धाम श्याम माई नागर नंदकिशोर ॥ चंदारे तु थिर ह्वे रहियो होंन न पावें भोर ॥१॥ दादुर चकोर पपैया बोलो और बोलो बनके सब मोर ॥ नंददासप्रभु वे जिनबोले वारो तमचर चोर ॥२॥

आज आये मेरे धाम श्याम माई नागर नंदकिशोर ॥ चंदारे तु थिर ह्वे रहियो होंन न पावें भोर ॥१॥\
O dear mother, the charming and graceful Nandkishor, Shyam, has come to my home today! O moon, remain still in the sky, so that dawn may not arrive. ॥१॥

दादुर चकोर पपैया बोलो और बोलो बनके सब मोर ॥ नंददासप्रभु वे जिनबोले वारो तमचर चोर ॥२॥\
O frogs, chakor birds and papihas, keep calling, and let all the peacocks of the forest call as well. But let that bird of the night, the herald of dawn, remain silent! Says Nanddas, the servant of his Prabhu, so that this precious night may not come to an end. ॥२॥
