आज दिवारी बडो परब घर ॥ कहत जसोदा सुनहु लालतुम लेलकुटी खेलो अपने कर ॥१॥ प्रथम न्हाओ आछे सोधे सों गुहि बेनी अंजन देउ नटवर ॥ सूथनलाल तासकी झंगुली धरो चंद्रिका सुभग शिस पर ॥२॥ पाछे पहेर विविध आभूषण मुरलीले मेरे मुरलीधर । देऊँ भाल मृगमदको बिंदुका जो कोउ दृष्टी न लगे तेरे पर ॥३॥ खेलो तुम मेरे आंगन दोउ हों देखो अपने आनन पर ॥ पान फूल मेवा मिश्रीसों झोरी भर ग्वालन देऊँ सुन्दर ॥४॥ सुभगस्वरूप नंदलालको मोहित होत देखि सब सुरनर ॥ यह विध कहत नंदजुकी रानी सुन सुन वारत सर्वस्व गिरिधर ॥५॥

आज दिवारी बडो परब घर ॥
कहत जसोदा सुनहु लालतुम लेलकुटी खेलो अपने कर ॥१॥
Today is Diwali, a great festival in the home. Yashoda says, “Listen, Lala, take this little stick in Your hand and play.” ॥१॥

प्रथम न्हाओ आछे सोधे सों गुहि बेनी अंजन देउ नटवर ॥
सूथनलाल तासकी झंगुली धरो चंद्रिका सुभग शिस पर ॥२॥
“First bathe nicely and become fresh; let me arrange Your hair and apply kajal to Your eyes, Natvar. Wear red suthan with a matching jhaguli, and let me place a beautiful chandrika upon Your head.” ॥२॥

पाछे पहेर विविध आभूषण मुरलीले मेरे मुरलीधर ।
देऊँ भाल मृगमदको बिंदुका जो कोउ दृष्टी न लगे तेरे पर ॥३॥
“Then wear ornaments of many kinds and take Your murali, my Muralidhar. Let me place a little musk mark upon Your forehead so that no one’s evil eye may fall upon You.” ॥३॥

खेलो तुम मेरे आंगन दोउ हों देखो अपने आनन पर ॥
पान फूल मेवा मिश्रीसों झोरी भर ग्वालन देऊँ सुन्दर ॥४॥
“You two play in my courtyard while I gaze upon Your beautiful faces. I shall fill the Gwalinis’ bags with betel, flowers, dried fruits, and mishri.” ॥४॥

सुभगस्वरूप नंदलालको मोहित होत देखि सब सुरनर ॥
यह विध कहत नंदजुकी रानी सुन सुन वारत सर्वस्व गिरिधर ॥५॥
Seeing Nandalal’s beautiful form, all the devas and people are enchanted. Thus speaks Nandaju’s Rani; hearing her words, she offers everything she has to Giridhar. ॥५॥

aaj divaaree bado parab ghar ||
kahat jasodaa sunahu laalatum lelakutee khelo apne kar ||1||

pratham nhaao aachhe sodhe son guhi benee anjan deu natavar ||
soothanalaal taasakee jhangulee dharo chandrikaa subhag shis par ||2||

paachhe paher vividh aabhooshan muraleele mere muraleedhar |
deoon bhaal mrigamadako bindukaa jo kou drishtee na lage tere par ||3||

khelo tum mere aangan dou hon dekho apne aanan par ||
paan phool mevaa miShreeson jhoree bhar gvaalan deoon sundar ||4||

subhagasvaroop nandalaalako mohit hot dekhi sab suranar ||
yah vidh kahat nandajukee raanee sun sun vaarat sarvasv Giridhar ||5||
