आजसखीरी प्रातसमेंदधिमथवे उठअकुलाई ॥ भरभाजन मणिखंभ निकटधरि नेतलियोकरजाई ॥१॥ सुनतशब्दहरितासमीप हँसउठआयेहरुवाई ॥ मोहीबालविनोदमोद अतिनयनननृत्य दिखाई ॥२॥ भूली तन प्रतिबिंबविलोकत रीझीसहजसुभाई ॥ चितवनचित्तहरेंछबि चंचलचितेंरही चितचाई ॥३॥ माखनपिंडलयोदोऊकर तबग्वालिन रहीमुसकाई ॥ सूरदास प्रभुसर्वस्वको सुखसकेन हृदयसमाई ॥४॥

आजसखीरी प्रातसमेंदधिमथवे उठअकुलाई ॥ भरभाजन मणिखंभ निकटधरि नेतलियोकरजाई ॥१॥
“O sakhi, early this morning, I got up eagerly to churn curd. I placed a full pot near the jewelled pillar and took the churning rope in my hand.” ॥१॥

सुनतशब्दहरितासमीप हँसउठआयेहरुवाई ॥ मोहीबालविनोदमोद अतिनयनननृत्य दिखाई ॥२॥
“Hearing the sound of churning, Hari quickly came near me with a smile. He delighted me with His playful childhood actions and showed me the lovely movements of His eyes.” ॥२॥

भूली तन प्रतिबिंबविलोकत रीझीसहजसुभाई ॥ चितवनचित्तहरेंछबि चंचलचितेंरही चितचाई ॥३॥
“I forgot myself as I gazed at His reflection, naturally enchanted by His beauty. His glances stole my heart, and I remained gazing intently at His lively, beautiful form.” ॥३॥

माखनपिंडलयोदोऊकर तबग्वालिन रहीमुसकाई ॥ सूरदास प्रभुसर्वस्वको सुखसकेन हृदयसमाई ॥४॥
“Then He took a lump of butter in both His hands, and the cowherd woman stood smiling.” Surdas says that the joy of beholding the Lord, who is his everything, was too great for his heart to contain. ॥४॥
