आली री मानिनी मानगढ़ कर लीयें रहत ताकी ओट ॥ नैन बंदूक तामें सकुच दारु भरें बोल गोला चलावत झक झोट ॥१॥ भौंह धनुष तामें अंजन पनछ दीने बरुनी मारें बान तिरछी हैं चोट ॥ संधि लागि धाये नंददास प्रभु छूट्यौ हठ तूट्यौ है री कामकोट ॥२॥

आली री मानिनी मानगढ़ कर लीयें रहत ताकी ओट ॥
नैन बंदूक तामें सकुच दारु भरें बोल गोला चलावत झक झोट ॥१॥
“O sakhi, the Manini has made a fortress of Her maan and remains sheltered behind it. Her eyes are the muskets, loaded with the powder of reserve, while Her words fire like cannonballs in quick succession.” ॥१॥

भौंह धनुष तामें अंजन पनछ दीने बरुनी मारें बान तिरछी हैं चोट ॥
Her brows are bows; kajal forms the feathering, and Her eyelashes shoot arrows whose sidelong strikes find their mark.

संधि लागि धाये नंददास प्रभु छूट्यौ हठ तूट्यौ है री कामकोट ॥२॥
Nandadas says: Prabhu hastens to make peace; Her resolve gives way, and the fortress of maan is broken. ॥२॥

aalee ree maaninee maanagarh kar leeyen rahat taakee ot ||
nain bandook taamen sakuch daaru bharen bol golaa chalaavat jhak jhot ||1||

bhaunh dhanush taamen anjan panachh deene barunee maaren baan tirachhee hain chot ||
sandhi laagi dhaaye nandadaas prabhu chhootyau hath tootyau hai ree kaamakot ||2||
