अबकें राखि लेहु गोपाल । दस दिशतें प्रगट्यौ दावानल उपज्यौ है तिहिंकाल ॥१॥ पटकत वंश कंस तृण चटकत झपट लपट कर नाल । उड़त अँगार फूल फल पटकत झपटत लपट कराल ॥२॥ धूम धुँध बाढ़ी घर अंबर चमकत उर मुख जाल । हरिन बराह करि पीक सारस जरत जीव बेहाल ॥३॥ तुम जिन डरौ नैन सब मूँदौ हँसि बोले नंदलाल । सूर अनल सब बदन समानौ निरभै किये ब्रजलाल ॥४॥

अबके राखि लेहु | Abake Rakhi Lehu

अबकें राखि लेहु गोपाल ।
दस दिशतें प्रगट्यौ दावानल उपज्यौ है तिहिंकाल ॥१॥
Save us now, Gopal! At that very moment, a forest fire has arisen and appeared on all ten sides. ॥१॥

पटकत वंश कंस तृण चटकत झपट लपट कर नाल ।
उड़त अँगार फूल फल पटकत झपटत लपट कराल ॥२॥
Bamboo and kans grass burst apart, while dry grass crackles; the fierce flames leap and spread through the reeds. Embers fly, flowers and fruits fall, and the dreadful flames dart and flare. ॥२॥

धूम धुँध बाढ़ी घर अंबर चमकत उर मुख जाल ।
हरिन बराह करि पीक सारस जरत जीव बेहाल ॥३॥
Smoke and haze swell thickly, filling the sky, while the blaze flashes fiercely before them. Deer, wild boars, elephants, cuckoos, and cranes are scorched, and all living creatures are in distress. ॥३॥

तुम जिन डरौ नैन सब मूँदौ हँसि बोले नंदलाल ।
सूर अनल सब बदन समानौ निरभै किये ब्रजलाल ॥४॥
“Do not be afraid; all of you close your eyes,” Nandalal says with a smile. Sur says: He drew the entire fire into His mouth, and Brajalal made everyone fearless. ॥४॥

das dishaten pragatyau daavaanal upajyau hai tihinkaal ||1||

patakat vansh kans trin chatakat jhapat lapat kar naal |
urat angaar phool phal patakat jhapatat lapat karaal ||2||

dhoom dhundh baarhee ghar ambar chamakat ur mukh jaal |
harin baraah kari peek saaras jarat jeev behaal ||3||

tum jin darau nain sab moondau hansi bole Nandlaal |
soor anal sab badan samaanau nirabhai kiye brajalaal ||4||
