आगम गहेरी गरज सुन घोर मेघकी औचकी बाल सलोंनी ॥ प्यारीके अंकमें दुररही एसें जेसें केहरि कंदर मंदिर में ध्वनिसुन मृगीके अंक मृगछोंनी ॥१ ॥ नेंक न धीरज धरे हीयो थरथर करे सोचत मनहीमन जेसें मुखमोनी ॥ नंददास प्रभु बेग चलो क्योंन भई जो कहा आगें होनी ॥२ ॥

आगम गहेरी गरज सुन घोर मेघकी औचकी बाल सलोंनी ॥ प्यारीके अंकमें दुररही एसें जेसें केहरि कंदर मंदिर में ध्वनिसुन मृगीके अंक मृगछोंनी ॥१ ॥
Hearing the deep, fearsome thunder of the gathering clouds, the lovely young girl was suddenly startled. She drew close to Pyari, like a young fawn nestling beside a doe on hearing a lion’s roar from within a mountain cave. ॥१ ॥

नेंक न धीरज धरे हीयो थरथर करे सोचत मनहीमन जेसें मुखमोनी ॥ नंददास प्रभु बेग चलो क्योंन भई जो कहा आगें होनी ॥२ ॥
She cannot keep her courage even for a moment; her heart trembles, and she remains silent, thinking anxiously within herself. Nanddas says: “Prabhu, why not go quickly? Who knows what may happen ahead?” ॥२ ॥

aagam gaheree garaj sun ghor meghakee auchakee baal salonnee ||
pyaareeke ankamen durarahee esen jesen kehari kandar mandir men dhvanisun mrigeeke ank mrigachhonnee ||1||

nenk na dheeraj dhare heeyo tharathar kare sochat manaheeman jesen mukhamonee ||
nandadaas prabhu beg chalo kyonn bhaee jo kahaa aagen honee ||2||
