अहो कान्ह गैया कहां बिसरानी ॥ कहां चराई चलाई कौन वन कहां पिवायो पानी ॥१॥ भई सांझ वन माझ फिरत हो बोलत पंछी कोऊ न वानी ॥ रसिकप्रीतम तुम भूलेसे फिरत कहा बात तिहारी जानी ॥२॥

अहो कान्ह गैया कहां बिसरानी ॥ कहां चराई चलाई कौन वन कहां पिवायो पानी ॥१॥
Oh Kanha, where have You left the cows behind? Where did You take them to graze? In which forest did You take them, and where did You give them water to drink? ॥१॥

भई सांझ वन माझ फिरत हो बोलत पंछी कोऊ न वानी ॥ रसिकप्रीतम तुम भूलेसे फिरत कहा बात तिहारी जानी ॥२॥
It has become evening, and You are still wandering in the forest. The birds are calling all around, but there is no one to tell us where You are. Rasik Pritam, You seem to have lost Your way and are wandering about—who knows what has happened to You? ॥२॥
