आज हों अधिक हँसी री माई ॥ काम विवस मों सौं रति बाढ़ी अवलोकत समझाई ॥ १ ॥ रवि ससि काँति भई जू सखी री कांच भवन में माई ॥ विस्मय भयो प्रतिबिंब बिंब सौं अंक भरे जदुराई ॥२॥ कर अंचल मुख मुंद रही हों ठाढ़ी ही इक ठांई ॥ 'सूरदास' प्रभु निश्चय जानी तब ही उर लपटाई ॥३॥

आज हों अधिक हँसी री माई ॥ काम विवस मों सौं रति बाढ़ी अवलोकत समझाई ॥ १ ॥
O Mother, today I laughed greatly. Overcome with deep affection, His fondness for me increased, and from His glance I understood His feeling. ॥ १ ॥

रवि ससि काँति भई जू सखी री कांच भवन में माई ॥ विस्मय भयो प्रतिबिंब बिंब सौं अंक भरे जदुराई ॥२॥
O sakhi, within the mirrored palace there shone a radiance like the sun and moon. Krishna, Lord of the Yadu lineage, was amazed on seeing the reflection and, taking it for the real form, drew it close. ॥२॥

कर अंचल मुख मुंद रही हों ठाढ़ी ही इक ठांई ॥ 'सूरदास' प्रभु निश्चय जानी तब ही उर लपटाई ॥३॥
Covering my face with the edge of my garment, I remained standing quietly in one place. Surdas says: when Prabhu understood what had happened, He at once held me close with affection. ॥३॥

aaj hon adhik hansee ree maaee ||
kaam vivas mon saun rati baarhee avalokat samajhaaee ||1||

ravi sasi kaanti bhaee joo sakhee ree kaanch bhavan men maaee ||
vismay bhayo pratibimb bimb saun ank bhare jaduraaee ||2||

kar anchal mukh mund rahee hon thaarhee hee ik thaanee ||
'Soordaas' prabhu nishchay jaanee tab hee ur lapataaee ||3||
