वसंत पंचमी के दिन मंगला में बिलावल ॥ चोताल ॥ आज की बानिक पर हो लाल हों बलि बलि गई बिगलित कच सुवन पाग ढरकि रहि वाम भाग अंग अंग अलसही ॥१॥ अरुन नैंन झपक जात कछु जँभात वार वार पीक कपोल छही ॥ धनि सुहाग भाग जाकों 'सूर' के प्रभु संग सब निस बितई ॥२॥ २

वसंत पंचमी के दिन मंगला में बिलावल ॥ चोताल ॥
On the day of Vasant Panchami, Bilāval is sung in Maṅgalā. ॥ Chotāl ॥

आज की बानिक पर हो लाल हों बलि बलि गई बिगलित कच सुवन पाग ढरकि रहि वाम भाग अंग अंग अलसही ॥१॥
O Beloved, seeing Your beautiful appearance today, I am devoted to You again and again. Your hair has come loose, Your golden turban has slipped to the left, and every part of Your body looks gently tired. ॥१ ॥

अरुन नैंन झपक जात कछु जँभात वार वार पीक कपोल छही ॥ धनि सुहाग भाग जाकों 'सूर' के प्रभु संग सब निस बितई ॥२॥
Your reddish eyes keep blinking, You yawn a little from time to time, and betel juice colors Your cheeks. Blessed is the good fortune of the one whose whole night passes in the company of Sūr’s Prabhu. ॥२ ॥

vasant panchamee ke din mangalaa men bilaaval ||
chotaal ||
aaj kee baanik par ho laal hon bali bali gaee bigalit kach suvan paag dharaki rahi vaam bhaag ang ang alasahee ||1||

arun nainn jhapak jaat kachhu janbhaat vaar vaar peek kapol chhahee ||
dhani suhaag bhaag jaakon 'soor' ke prabhu sang sab nis bitaee ||2||
