आज ललनकी होत सगाई ॥ आवोरी गोपीजन मिलके गावो मंगल चार वधाई ॥१॥ चोटी सुपर गुहुं सुत तेरी छांडो चंचलताई ॥ वृषभान गोप टीको दे पढयो सुंदरजान कन्हाई ॥२॥ जो तुमको या भांत देख है कर है कहा बडाई ॥ पहर वसन आभुषण सुंदर उनको देउ दीखाई ॥३॥ नखशिख अंग श्रंगार महर मन मोतिनकी माला पहराई ॥ बैठे आय रत्न चोकी पर नरनारिनकी भीर सुहाई ॥४॥ विप्र प्रविण तिलक कर मस्तक अक्षत चांप लीयो अपनाई ॥ बाजत ढोल भेर और महुवर नोबत ध्वनि घनघोर बजाई ॥५॥ फुली फीरत यशोदारानी वार कुंवर पर वसन लुंटाई ॥ परमानंद नंदके आंगन अमरगण पोहोपन झरलाई ॥६॥

आज ललनकी होत सगाई ॥ आवोरी गोपीजन मिलके गावो मंगल चार वधाई ॥१॥
Today the lalans engagement is taking place. Come, O gopīs, gather together and sing songs of blessing and joy. ॥१ ॥

चोटी सुपर गुहुं सुत तेरी छांडो चंचलताई ॥ वृषभान गोप टीको दे पढयो सुंदरजान कन्हाई ॥२॥
Tie your braid nicely, my child, and leave your restless ways. Vṛṣabhān, the cowherd, puts the auspicious mark on Kanhāī, the beautiful one. ॥२ ॥

जो तुमको या भांत देख है कर है कहा बडाई ॥ पहर वसन आभुषण सुंदर उनको देउ दीखाई ॥३॥
Whoever sees You dressed like this will not know what praise to give. Wear these beautiful clothes and ornaments, and let everyone see them. ॥३ ॥

नखशिख अंग श्रंगार महर मन मोतिनकी माला पहराई ॥ बैठे आय रत्न चोकी पर नरनारिनकी भीर सुहाई ॥४॥
From head to toe, the body is beautifully dressed. The mother lovingly puts a pearl necklace on Him. He comes and sits on a jewel seat, with a lovely crowd of men and women around Him. ॥४ ॥

विप्र प्रविण तिलक कर मस्तक अक्षत चांप लीयो अपनाई ॥ बाजत ढोल भेर और महुवर नोबत ध्वनि घनघोर बजाई ॥५॥
The learned priest puts a tilak on His forehead and places sacred rice grains on it. Drums, bherīs, and mahūvars play, and the naubat sounds loudly. ॥५ ॥

फुली फीरत यशोदारानी वार कुंवर पर वसन लुंटाई ॥ परमानंद नंदके आंगन अमरगण पोहोपन झरलाई ॥६॥
Yashodā Rānī joyfully goes around the prince, waving clothes before Him and giving them away. Paramānand says: In Nanda’s courtyard, the gods shower flowers. ॥६ ॥

aaj lalanakee hot sagaaee ||
aavoree gopeejan milake gaavo mangal chaar vadhaaee ||1||

chotee supar guhun sut teree chhaando chanchalataaee ||
vrishabhaan gop teeko de padhayo sundarajaan Kanhaaee ||2||

jo tumako yaa bhaant dekh hai kar hai kahaa badaaee ||
pahar vasan aabhushan sundar unako deu deekhaaee ||3||

nakhashikh ang shrangaar mahar man motinakee maalaa paharaaee ||
baithe aay ratn chokee par naranaarinakee bheer suhaaee ||4||

vipr pravin tilak kar mastak akshat chaamp leeyo apanaaee ||
baajat dhol bher aur mahuvar nobat dhvani ghanaghor bajaaee ||5||

phulee pheerat yashodaaraanee vaar kunvar par vasan luntaaee ||
paramaanand nandake aangan amaragan pohopan jharalaaee ||6||
