अपने लालके गुन गाऊँ । तुम झूलौ हौं हरखि झुलाऊँ प्रेम कलोलन जाऊँ ॥१॥ नखशिख लौं सिंगार बनाऊँ भाल डिठौना लाऊँ ॥ कुलह सुरंग सिर पीत झगुलिया हरि नखशिखलौं पहराऊँ ॥२॥ चकई भौंरा पाटके लटकन विविध खिलौना खिलाऊँ । बार-बार पलनातें लैकें स्तनपान कराऊँ ॥३॥ मधुमेवा माखन मिश्री लै प्यारें कौं जु चटाऊँ । श्रीविठ्ठल गिरिधरनलालकौं देखि देखि सुख पाऊँ ॥४॥

अपने लालके गुन गाऊँ ।
तुम झूलौ हौं हरखि झुलाऊँ प्रेम कलोलन जाऊँ ॥१॥
I sing the virtues of my darling. You swing, while I joyfully rock You and am swept away in waves of love. ॥१॥

नखशिख लौं सिंगार बनाऊँ भाल डिठौना लाऊँ ॥
कुलह सुरंग सिर पीत झगुलिया हरि नखशिखलौं पहराऊँ ॥२॥
I adorn You from head to toe and place a protective black mark upon Your forehead. I put a beautifully coloured kulah upon Your head and dress You, Hari, from head to toe in a yellow jhaguliya. ॥२॥

चकई भौंरा पाटके लटकन विविध खिलौना खिलाऊँ ।
बार-बार पलनातें लैकें स्तनपान कराऊँ ॥३॥
I entertain You with various toys—chakai, bhaunra, and silken hanging toys. Again and again, I take You from the cradle and breastfeed You. ॥३॥

मधुमेवा माखन मिश्री लै प्यारें कौं जु चटाऊँ ।
श्रीविठ्ठल गिरिधरनलालकौं देखि देखि सुख पाऊँ ॥४॥
Taking honey, dried fruits, butter, and mishri, I lovingly feed them to my darling. Gazing again and again upon Shri Vitthal Giridharnalal, I find joy. ॥४॥

nakhashikh laun singaar banaaoon bhaal dithaunaa laaoon ||
kulah surang sir peet jhaguliyaa hari nakhashikhalaun paharaaoon ||2||

chakaee bhaunraa paatake latakan vividh khilaunaa khilaaoon |
baar-baar palanaaten laiken stanapaan karaaoon ||3||

madhumevaa maakhan miShree lai pyaaren kaun ju chataaoon |
Shreeviththal giridharanalaalakaun dekhi dekhi sukh paaoon ||4||
