अरीहौं स्याम मोहिनी घाली ॥ अबही गई जलभरन अकेली नंदनंदन चितवन उरसाली ॥१॥ कहारी कहों कछु कहत न आवे लगी मरमकी भाली ॥ सूरदासप्रभु मनहरलीनो विवशभई हौंआली ॥२॥

अरीहौं स्याम मोहिनी घाली ॥ अबही गई जलभरन अकेली नंदनंदन चितवन उरसाली ॥१॥
Oh, friend, Shyam has cast his spell upon me! Just now I went alone to fetch water, and Nandanandan’s glance pierced my heart. ॥१॥

कहारी कहों कछु कहत न आवे लगी मरमकी भाली ॥ सूरदासप्रभु मनहरलीनो विवशभई हौंआली ॥२॥
What can I tell you, dear friend? I cannot find the words; a spear has struck the deepest part of my heart. Surdas’s Lord has stolen my heart; I am helpless, dear friend. ॥२॥

abahee gaee jalabharan akelee Nand-nandan chitavan urasaalee ||1||

kahaaree kahon kachhu kahat na aave lagee maramakee bhaalee ||
