बादर झूम झूम बरसन लागे ॥ दामीनी दमकतें चोंक चमक श्याम घनकी गरज सुन जागे ॥१॥ गोपीजन द्वार ठाडे नारीनर भीजे मुख देखन कारन अनुरागे ॥ छीतस्वामी गिरिधरन श्रीविट्ठल ओतप्रोत रस पागे ॥२॥

बादर झूम झूम बरसन लागे ॥ दामीनी दमकतें चोंक चमक श्याम घनकी गरज सुन जागे ॥१॥
The clouds sway and begin to pour down rain. Lightning flashes brightly, and hearing the deep thunder of the dark clouds, all awaken. ॥१॥

गोपीजन द्वार ठाडे नारीनर भीजे मुख देखन कारन अनुरागे ॥ छीतस्वामी गिरधन श्रीविट्ठल ओतप्रोत रस पागे ॥२॥
The gopis stand at the doorway, while men and women, drenched by the rain, remain there out of loving eagerness to behold His face. Chhitswami says: Shri Vitthal, Giridhar, is completely immersed and filled with rasa. ॥२॥

daameenee damakaten chonk chamak shyaam ghanakee garaj sun jaage ||1||

gopeejan dvaar thaade naareenar bheeje mukh dekhan kaaran anuraage ||
