बैठे हरि राधा संग कुंजभवन अपने रंग कर मुरली अधर धरे सारंग मुख गाई ॥ मोहन अतिही सुजान परम चतुर गुणनिधान जानबूझ एक तान चूककें बजाई ॥१॥ प्यारी जब गह्यो बीन सकल कला गुणप्रवीण अतिनवीन रूपसहित वही तान सुनाई ॥ वल्लभ गिरिधरनलाल रिझ दई अंकमाल कहत भलें भलें लाल सुंदर सुखदाई ॥२॥

बैठे हरि राधा संग कुंजभवन अपने रंग कर मुरली अधर धरे सारंग मुख गाई ॥ मोहन अतिही सुजान परम चतुर गुणनिधान जानबूझ एक तान चूककें बजाई ॥१॥
Hari sat with Radha in the bower, absorbed in his own delight. He held the flute to his lips and played Raag Sarang. Mohan, so very knowing, supremely skilful and a treasury of virtues, deliberately played one melodic phrase incorrectly. ॥१॥

प्यारी जब गह्यो बीन सकल कला गुणप्रवीण अतिनवीन रूपसहित वही तान सुनाई ॥ वल्लभ गिरिधरनलाल रिझ दई अंकमाल कहत भलें भलें लाल सुंदर सुखदाई ॥२॥
Then Pyari took up the veena. Accomplished in every art, she played that very phrase with ever-fresh beauty. Delighted, beloved Giridharanlal embraced her, saying, “Well done, well done, beautiful beloved, giver of joy!” ॥२॥
