भोर भये नंदलाल संग लीयें ग्वालवाल फेंटन भरि लियें गुलाल बोलत मुख होरी ॥ केसरि भरि कलस साथ पिचकाई लियें हाथ छिरकतहें सोंधो बहु डारत ब्रजखोरी ॥१॥ युवतिनके यूथ मांह धसि काढत पकरि बांह मनमें कछु सकुच नांहि लीने भरि झोरी ॥ बाजें डफ मृदंगताल कूजत मुरली रसाल झुंडन मिलि गावत विच महुवरि धुनिथोरी ॥२॥ यहविधि हरि करत केलि वरन्यों नहीं जात खेल अनुरागे पागे सब आए नंद पोरी ॥ निरख मुसकानी आरती वारती नंदरानी छवि पर वारि डारों हरिजीवन तृणतोरी ॥३॥

भोर भये नंदलाल संग लीयें ग्वालवाल फेंटन भरि लियें गुलाल बोलत मुख होरी ॥  
केसरि भरि कलस साथ पिचकाई लियें हाथ छिरकतहें सोंधो बहु डारत ब्रजखोरी ॥१॥
At daybreak, Nandlal takes the cowherd boys with Him, their waist-cloths filled with gulal, while their mouths call out, “Holi!” With vessels filled with saffron-coloured water and pichkaris in their hands, they spray fragrant colour everywhere through the lanes of Vraj. ॥१॥

युवतिनके यूथ मांह धसि काढत पकरि बांह मनमें कछु सकुच नांहि लीने भरि झोरी ॥  
बाजें डफ मृदंगताल कूजत मुरली रसाल झुंडन मिलि गावत विच महुवरि धुनिथोरी ॥२॥
He enters among the groups of young women, catches them by the arm and draws them out, without the least hesitation in His heart, His pouch filled with colour. The daf and mridang resound in rhythm, the sweet flute sings, and groups join together in song while the mahuwar plays its melody among them. ॥२॥

यहविधि हरि करत केलि वरन्यों नहीं जात खेल अनुरागे पागे सब आए नंद पोरी ॥  
निरख मुसकानी आरती वारती नंदरानी छवि पर वारि डारों हरिजीवन तृणतोरी ॥३॥
In this way Hari plays such delightful games that they cannot be described. Absorbed in the loving play, everyone comes to Nanda’s courtyard. Seeing Him, Nandarani smiles and performs arati; Harijivan says, “I would offer myself upon this beautiful sight like a blade of grass.” ॥३॥

bhor bhaye Nandlaal sang leeyen gvaalavaal phentan bhari liyen gulaal bolat mukh horee ||
kesari bhari kalas saath pichakaaee liyen haath chhirakatahen sondho bahu daarat brajakhoree ||1||

yuvatinake yooth maanh dhasi kaadhat pakari baanh manamen kachhu sakuch naanhi leene bhari jhoree ||
baajen daph mridangataal koojat muralee rasaal jhundan mili gaavat vich mahuvari dhunithoree ||2||

yahavidhi hari karat keli varanyon naheen jaat khel anuraage paage sab aae Nand poree ||
nirakh musakaanee aaratee vaaratee nandaraanee chhavi par vaari daaron harijeevan trinatoree ||3||
