चंदन सुगंध अंग लगाय आये मेरे गृह हमही मग जोवत लाल तिहारोहे ॥ ढीले ढीले पग धरत घामके सताये लाल बोलहु न आवे बैन कोनके बचन पारेहो ॥१॥ बैठो लाल सीतल छांह श्रमहुको निवारन होय सीतल जल यमुनाको अनेक भांति पीजिये ॥ नंददास प्रभु प्रिय हमतो दरसकी प्यासी ऐसी नीकी करो कृपा-मोहि दरस दीजिये ॥२॥

चंदन सुगंध अंग लगाय आये मेरे गृह हमही मग जोवत लाल तिहारोहे ॥ ढीले ढीले पग धरत घामके सताये लाल बोलहु न आवे बैन कोनके बचन पारेहो ॥१॥
O beloved Lal, You have come to my home with the fragrance of sandalwood upon Your body. I have been waiting for You on this very path. You walk slowly, tired from the heat of the sun; You are so exhausted that You cannot even speak. What words can I say to You? ॥१॥

बैठो लाल सीतल छांह श्रमहुको निवारन होय सीतल जल यमुनाको अनेक भांति पीजिये ॥ नंददास प्रभु प्रिय हमतो दरसकी प्यासी ऐसी नीकी करो कृपा-मोहि दरस दीजिये ॥२॥
Sit here, dear Lal, in the cool shade and rest, so that Your weariness may go away. Drink the cool water of the Yamuna in many refreshing ways. Nanddas says, “O beloved Lord, I am thirsty only for Your darshan. Please show me Your beautiful form and have mercy upon me.” ॥२॥
