छगन मगन प्यारे लाल कीजिये कलेवा ॥ छींकते सगरी दधि उखल चढ काढलेहो पहर लेहो झगुली फेंट बांधलेहो मेवा ॥१॥ यमुना तट खेलन जावो खेलन के मिस भूख न लागे कोन परी प्यारे लाल निश दिनाकी टेवा ॥ सूरदास मदनमोहन घरही क्योंने खेलों लाल देहो चकडोर बंगी हंस मोर परेवा ॥२॥

छगन मगन प्यारे लाल कीजिये कलेवा ॥  
छींकते सगरी दधि उखल चढ काढलेहो पहर लेहो झगुली फेंट बांधलेहो मेवा ॥१॥
O my happy, playful dear Lal, please take Your morning meal. Climb upon the mortar and take down all the curd from the hanging shelf; put on Your little jhaguli, and tie some dry fruits in Your waist-cloth. ॥१॥

यमुना तट खेलन जावो खेलन के मिस भूख न लागे कोन परी प्यारे लाल निश दिनाकी टेवा ॥  
सूरदास मदनमोहन घरही क्योंने खेलों लाल देहो चकडोर बंगी हंस मोर परेवा ॥२॥
You go to play on the bank of Yamunaji, and while absorbed in play You do not notice Your hunger. O dear Lal, why have You made this a habit day and night? Surdas says: O Madanmohan, why not play here at home? My Lal, I will give You a spinning toy, a curved plaything, swans, peacocks, and pigeons. ॥२॥

chhagan magan pyaare laal keejiye kalevaa ||
chheenkate sagaree dadhi ukhal chadh kaadhaleho pahar leho jhagulee phent baandhaleho mevaa ||1||

Yamunaa tat khelan jaavo khelan ke mis bhookh na laage kon paree pyaare laal nish dinaakee tevaa ||
Soordaas madanamohan gharahee kyonne khelon laal deho chakador bangee hans mor parevaa ||2||
