छाकें खाय खाय धाय धाय जाय द्रुमन चढत फेंटामुख पोंछत अंगोछत हैं करकर ॥ आवरू दंडान डार दुरावत जाकी आर रोवनी रुवाय छांड हँसे सब हरहर ॥१॥ सखा सब देत कूक एक तो विरामे दूक खिजोरा खीज गारी देत कांपन हैं थरथर ॥ जगजीवन गिरिधारी तुम पर वारी लाल याही पर राखो दाव कूदे सब धरधर ॥२॥

छाकें खाय खाय धाय धाय जाय द्रुमन चढत फेंटामुख पोंछत अंगोछत हैं करकर ॥
Eating their food, they run about, climb the trees, and wipe their mouths again and again with the cloths they carry.

आवरू दंडान डार दुरावत जाकी आर रोवनी रुवाय छांड हँसे सब हरहर ॥१॥
They throw and hide one another’s sticks. When it is someone’s turn, they make him cry, then leave him and all laugh heartily. ॥१॥

सखा सब देत कूक एक तो विरामे दूक खिजोरा खीज गारी देत कांपन हैं थरथर ॥
All the friends shout out. One is troubled and distressed, while another becomes irritated, angrily hurls abuse, and trembles all over.

जगजीवन गिरिधारी तुम पर वारी लाल याही पर राखो दाव कूदे सब धरधर ॥२॥
Jagjivan says, “O Giridhari, dear Lal, I am devoted to You! Keep Your turn in this very game, as everyone jumps about with thudding sounds.” ॥२॥

chhaaken khaay khaay dhaay dhaay jaay druman chadhat phentaamukh ponchhat angochhat hain karakar ||
aavaroo dandaan daar duraavat jaakee aar rovanee ruvaay chhaand hanse sab harahar ||1||

sakhaa sab det kook ek to viraame dook khijoraa kheej gaaree det kaampan hain tharathar ||
jagajeevan giridhaaree tum par vaaree laal yaahee par raakho daav koode sab dharadhar ||2||
