दिपदान व्रज परम सुहायो ॥ अमावस पर्व बड़ो दिन है यह बाल कहत बाबा समुझायो ॥ अगणित दिप जुराय सबे मिल ऊँची अटा चढ़ायल ॥ नंदरानी यह छैया मानो पहराई कंचन माल ॥२ ॥ हंस हंस कान कह्यो जननीसों अपनी धेन श्रृंगारे जाय ॥ श्रीविट्ठल नंदरानी कहत है बलदाउ को लेहो बुलाय ॥

दिपदान व्रज परम सुहायो ॥ अमावस पर्व बड़ो दिन है यह बाल कहत बाबा समुझायो ॥ अगणित दिप जुराय सबे मिल ऊँची अटा चढ़ायल ॥
The offering of lamps has made Vraj exceedingly beautiful. Baba lovingly explains to young Kanhaiya, “Today is Amavasya, a very important festival day.” Everyone gathers countless lamps and places them high upon the rooftops and upper terraces. ॥

नंदरानी यह छैया मानो पहराई कंचन माल ॥२ ॥
O Queen of Nanda’s household, behold this beautiful sight! It seems as though the rooftops have been adorned with golden garlands. ॥२॥

हंस हंस कान कह्यो जननीसों अपनी धेन श्रृंगारे जाय ॥
Smiling happily, Kanhaiya says to His mother that He wishes to go and decorate His own cows. ॥

श्रीविट्ठल नंदरानी कहत है बलदाउ को लेहो बुलाय ॥
Shri Vitthal says: Mother Yashoda, the Queen of Nanda’s household, lovingly says, “Go and call Baldao as well.”
