देख सखी नव छेल छबिलो । लियो मेरो चित चोरी । अरविलो आनत एंडानो ओर आक्रत नैन ही की चोर । शोभा अंग प्रीत रूपमाधुरी शीशदुमालो अति छबि छोर । कुंदन लोल कपोलन  झांई अरुन उदय मानो किरन चहुं ओर । कहेत न बने देखे वन आवे सदा बसो मन नंदकिशोर । चत्रभुज प्रभु गिरिधरनलाल पर रीझी डारत त्रणतोर ॥

देख सखी नव | Dekh Sakhi Nav

(राग सारंग | Raga Sarang)

देख सखी नव छेल छबिलो । लियो मेरो चित चोरी ।
Look, sakhi, at this fresh, charming, graceful youth — he has stolen my heart.  

अरविलो आनत एंडानो ओर आक्रत नैन ही की चोर ।
With his tilted, graceful manner and sidelong glance, he steals one away through the very corners of his eyes.  

शोभा अंग प्रीत रूपमाधुरी शीशदुमालो अति छबि छोर ।
The beauty of his limbs, the sweetness of his lovely form, and the dumala upon his head overflow with splendor.  

कुंदन लोल कपोलन झांई अरुन उदय मानो किरन चहुं ओर ।
The glow upon his cheeks shines all around like the spreading rays of the newly risen crimson sun.  

कहेत न बने देखे वन आवे सदा बसो मन नंदकिशोर ।
He cannot be described; once seen, he comes again and again before the mind — may Nandkishor ever dwell in my heart.  

चत्रभुज प्रभु गिरिधरनलाल पर रीझी डारत त्रणतोर ॥
Chaturbhuj says: I am utterly enchanted by प्रभु Giridharanlal, and cast away everything else for him. ॥

dekh sakhee nav chhel chhabilo |
liyo mero chit choree |
aravilo aanat endaano or aakrat nain hee kee chor |
shobhaa ang preet roopamaadhuree sheeshadumaalo ati chhabi chhor |
kundan lol kapolan  jhaanee arun uday maano kiran chahun or |
kahet na bane dekhe van aave sadaa baso man nandakishor |
chatrabhuj prabhu giridharanalaal par reejhee daarat tranator ||
