देख सखी तीज महातम आयो ॥ स्यामास्याम परस्पर झूलत निरख परम सुख पायो ॥१॥ दिशादिश घोरघोर घन गरजत मंदमंद वरखायो ॥ दादुर मोर पपैया बोलत कोयल शब्द सुनायो ॥२॥ ताल मृदंग किन्नरी दुंदुभी प्रेम निसान बजायो ॥ सूरदास प्रभु युगल विराजत अखिल भुवन यशछायो ॥३॥

देख सखी तीज महातम आयो ॥ स्यामास्याम परस्पर झूलत निरख परम सुख पायो ॥१॥
Look, O friend, the great festival of Teej has come. Seeing Shyama and Shyam swinging together, I have found supreme joy. ॥१॥

दिशादिश घोरघोर घन गरजत मंदमंद वरखायो ॥ दादुर मोर पपैया बोलत कोयल शब्द सुनायो ॥२॥
In every direction, the clouds thunder deeply and rain falls gently. Frogs, peacocks, and papihas call out, while the cuckoo makes its sweet sound heard. ॥२॥

ताल मृदंग किन्नरी दुंदुभी प्रेम निसान बजायो ॥ सूरदास प्रभु युगल विराजत अखिल भुवन यशछायो ॥३॥
Cymbals, mridangas, kinnaris, and dundubhis are played, along with the drums of love. Surdas says: the Divine Couple is seated in splendor, and Their glory spreads throughout the whole world. ॥३॥

syaamaasyaam paraspar jhoolat nirakh param sukh paayo ||1||

dishaadish ghoraghor ghan garajat mandamand varakhaayo ||
daadur mor papaiyaa bolat koyal shabd sunaayo ||2||

taal mridang kinnaree dundubhee prem nisaan bajaayo ||
Soordaas prabhu yugal viraajat akhil bhuvan yashachhaayo ||3||
