## English meaning

Dekho Vrindavan Ko Jasavitan

Raga Basant)

Look at the glory of Vṛndāvan; the greatness described in the Purāṇas has spread everywhere. ॥

The One whom the Vedas fall silent trying to describe, and upon whom they meditate, setting aside all pride and self-importance—the women of Vraj all gather around Him and tease Him with Holī’s playful words. ॥

The One whom everyone tries to please by singing and dancing, and for whom the Vedas employ many different ways and means—today His eyes are captivated by their eyes; they make Him laugh and playfully tease Him. ॥

By chanting His name, one gives up worldly desires and comes to know the way across the ocean of worldly existence. He destroys sorrow and is the abode of happiness; yet the gopīs laugh and laugh and playfully tease Him. ॥

The One who has all powers under His control, as all scriptures affirm, and whom all the guardians of the worlds fear and honor—He Himself is under Rādhā’s control through the music of His flute. Sūrdās says: that Prabhu is my beloved Kānha. ॥४॥
