देखरी रोहणीमैया कैसेहैं बलदाऊभैया यमुनाकेतीर मोहि झुझुवावतायोरी ॥ सुबल श्रीदामासाथ हँसहँस बूझतवात आप डरपे औरमोहि डरपायोरी ॥१॥ जहींजहीं बोले मोर चिते रहत याही ओर भाजोरे भाजोरे भैया वह देखो आयो ॥ आप गये तरुचढमोहि छाड्योवाही तर धरधर छातीकरे दोर्यो घरआयो ॥२॥ उछंगसो लिये लगाय कंठसों रहे लपटाय बारीरेवारी मेरोहियो भर आयो ॥ परमानंद रानी द्विजबुलाय वेदमंत्र पढाय बछियाकी पूँछगहि हाथहि दिवायो ॥३॥

देखरी रोहणीमैया कैसेहैं बलदाऊभैया यमुनाकेतीर मोहि झुझुवावतायोरी ॥ सुबल श्रीदामासाथ हँसहँस बूझतवात आप डरपे औरमोहि डरपायोरी ॥१॥
“Look, Mother Rohini, see how Brother Balram behaves! On the bank of the Yamunaji, He keeps frightening me. Together with Subal and Shridama, He laughs and asks me questions, pretending to be frightened Himself while making me afraid.” ॥१॥

जहींजहीं बोले मोर चिते रहत याही ओर भाजोरे भाजोरे भैया वह देखो आयो ॥ आप गये तरुचढमोहि छाड्योवाही तर धरधर छातीकरे दोर्यो घरआयो ॥२॥
“Whenever a peacock called, He kept looking in that direction and shouting, ‘Run, brother, run! Look, there it comes!’ He Himself climbed a tree and left me standing beneath it. Trembling with fear and clutching my chest, I ran all the way home.” ॥२॥

उछंगसो लिये लगाय कंठसों रहे लपटाय बारीरेवारी मेरोहियो भर आयो ॥ परमानंद रानी द्विजबुलाय वेदमंत्र पढाय बछियाकी पूँछगहि हाथहि दिवायो ॥३॥

jaheenjaheen bole mor chite rahat yaahee or bhaajore bhaajore bhaiyaa vah dekho aayo ||
aap gaye taruchadhamohi chhaadyovaahee tar dharadhar chhaateekare doryo gharaaayo ||2||

uchhangaso liye lagaay kanthason rahe lapataay baareerevaaree merohiyo bhar aayo ||
paramaanand raanee dvijabulaay vedamantr padhaay bachhiyaakee poonchhagahi haathahi divaayo ||3||
