धेनुदुहत देखत हरि ग्वाल ॥ आपुन बैठ गये तिनके ढिंगसिखवो मोहि कहत गोपाल ॥१॥ काल देहों तोय गोदोहन सुखवे आज दुहींसबगाय ॥ भोर दुहो जिननंद दुहाई उनसों कहत सुनायसुनाय ॥२॥ बडोभयो अब दुहतरहूंगो आप आपनी धेनुनिवेर ॥ सूरदासप्रभु कहतसीखदे मोहि लीजियेटेर ॥३॥

धेनुदुहत देखत हरि ग्वाल ॥ आपुन बैठ गये तिनके ढिंगसिखवो मोहि कहत गोपाल ॥१॥
Hari watches the cowherds milking the cows. He sits down beside them and says, “Teach me how to milk a cow.” ॥१॥

काल देहों तोय गोदोहन सुखवे आज दुहींसबगाय ॥ भोर दुहो जिननंद दुहाई उनसों कहत सुनायसुनाय ॥२॥
“We shall give you a milking vessel tomorrow. All the cows have already been milked today.” Hearing this, Gopal repeatedly tells them, “Please do not milk the cows tomorrow morning. I beg you in Nand's name!” ॥२॥

बडोभयो अब दुहतरहूंगो आप आपनी धेनुनिवेर ॥ सूरदासप्रभु कहतसीखदे मोहि लीजियेटेर ॥३॥
“I have grown big now. From now on, I shall milk my own cows myself.” Surdas says that the Lord keeps calling to the cowherds, “Please teach me how to milk!” ॥३॥

dhenuduhat dekhat hari gvaal ||
aapun baith gaye tinake dhingasikhavo mohi kahat Gopaal ||1||

kaal dehon toy godohan sukhave aaj duheensabagaay ||
bhor duho jinanand duhaaee unason kahat sunaayasunaay ||2||

badobhayo ab duhatarahoongo aap aapanee dhenuniver ||
sooradaasaprabhu kahataseekhade mohi leejiyeter ||3||
