धोरी धूमर पीली पीहर कारी काजर कहकह टेर ॥ बामभुजा मुरलीकर लिये दक्षिण कर पीतांबर फेरत ॥१॥ सुंदर नागर नट कालींदी तट लकुट लीये गायन को हिरत ॥ हुंक-हुंक एक वार गज शब्द धाई चत्रभुज प्रभु गिरिधारी न वेरत ॥२॥

धोरी धूमर पीली पीहर कारी काजर कहकह टेर ॥
बामभुजा मुरलीकर लिये दक्षिण कर पीतांबर फेरत ॥१॥
He calls the cows again and again by name—Dhori, Dhumar, Peeli, Peehar, Kari, and Kajar. Holding the Murali in His left hand, He waves His pitambar with His right. ॥१॥

सुंदर नागर नट कालींदी तट लकुट लीये गायन को हिरत ॥
The beautiful and graceful Nat stands on the bank of the Kalindi, holding His herding stick and watching over the cows.

हुंक-हुंक एक वार गज शब्द धाई चत्रभुज प्रभु गिरिधारी न वेरत ॥२॥
At a single deep call of “Hunk! Hunk!” the cows come running. Chaturbhuj says: Prabhu Giridhari keeps none of them apart. ॥२॥

dhoree dhoomar peelee peehar kaaree kaajar kahakah ter ||
baamabhujaa muraleekar liye dakshin kar peetaambar pherat ||1||

sundar naagar nat kaaleendee tat lakut leeye gaayan ko hirat ||
hunk-hunk ek vaar gaj shabd dhaaee chatrabhuj prabhu giridhaaree na verat ||2||
