एकसमें जसुमति सखियनसों बात कहत मुसिकाय । मो देखत कबधों मेरी लालन भूमि धरैगौ पाँय ॥१॥ पुनि मैया मोसों कब कहि है कुँवर कछू हँसि आय । अरि है दूध दही के कारन तन गोरज लपटाय ॥२॥ खरिक दुहावन मोय जात ही आय मिलेंगे धाय । वह धौं द्यौस होइगौ कबहूँ ललन दुहेंगे गाय ॥३॥ सोंपिहैं सुत चरावन गैया सुनि सजनी नंदराय । यह अभिलाष करति जसुमति जिय परमानंद बलि जाय ॥४॥

एकसमें जसुमति सखियनसों बात कहत मुसिकाय । मो देखत कबधों मेरी लालन भूमि धरैगौ पाँय ॥१॥
One day, Yashoda, smiling, said to her companions, “When will my dear child, before my eyes, place His feet upon the ground?” ॥१॥

पुनि मैया मोसों कब कहि है कुँवर कछू हँसि आय । अरि है दूध दही के कारन तन गोरज लपटाय ॥२॥
Then, when will my little Prince come to me smiling and say something? Ah, because of His love for milk and curd, His body will be covered with the dust of the cows. ॥२॥

खरिक दुहावन मोय जात ही आय मिलेंगे धाय । वह धौं द्यौस होइगौ कबहूँ ललन दुहेंगे गाय ॥३॥
As soon as I go to the cowshed to have the cows milked, He will come running to meet me. When will that day come when my little one will milk the cows? ॥३॥

सोंपिहैं सुत चरावन गैया सुनि सजनी नंदराय । यह अभिलाष करति जसुमति जिय परमानंद बलि जाय ॥४॥
When Nandarai entrusts his son with taking the cows out to graze—O friend, Yashoda longs for that day. Paramanand is a sacrifice to Yashoda, whose heart cherishes this longing. ॥४॥

## Transliteration

ekasamen jasumati sakhiyanason baat kahat musikaay |
mo dekhat kabadhon meree laalan bhoomi dharaigau paayn ||1||

puni maiyaa moson kab kahi hai kunvar kachhoo hansi aay |
ari hai doodh dahee ke kaaran tan goraj lapataay ||2||

kharik duhaavan moy jaat hee aay milenge dhaay |
vah dhaun dyaus hoigau kabahoon lalan duhenge gaay ||3||

sompihain sut charaavan gaiyaa suni sajanee Nandraay |
yah abhilaash karati jasumati jiy paramaanand bali jaay ||4||
