गरज गरज उठेबादर चहुं ओरनते वर्षाऋतु माई आगम जनायो ॥ आनमनसिजदल साज विरहनिपर कर कोप मानों अति सुरपतिव्हे सहाय धनुष तनायो ॥१ ॥ आवन अवधि मन भावन पहेलें आय इतनों अंतर मोहि जनायो ॥ मदन मोहन श्याम तिहिं छिन आयमिले प्यारी अंकभर प्यारो पिय अपनायो ॥२ ॥

गरज गरज उठेबादर चहुं ओरनते वर्षाऋतु माई आगम जनायो ॥ आनमनसिजदल साज विरहनिपर कर कोप मानों अति सुरपतिव्हे सहाय धनुष तनायो ॥१ ॥
Clouds rise thundering on every side, announcing the arrival of the rainy season, O Mother. It is as though Manmath has assembled his forces against those suffering in separation, with Indra himself coming to his aid and drawing his bow. ॥१ ॥

आवन अवधि मन भावन पहेलें आय इतनों अंतर मोहि जनायो ॥ मदन मोहन श्याम तिहिं छिन आयमिले प्यारी अंकभर प्यारो पिय अपनायो ॥२ ॥
My beloved came even before the appointed time, and thus showed me how dear I am to Him. At that very moment Madanmohan Shyam came to Pyari, and lovingly welcomed her close to Him. ॥२ ॥

garaj garaj uthebaadar chahun oranate varshaaritu maaee aagam janaayo ||
aanamanasijadal saaj virahanipar kar kop maanon ati surapativhe sahaay dhanush tanaayo ||1||

aavan avadhi man bhaavan pahelen aay itanon antar mohi janaayo ||
madan mohan shyaam tihin chhin aayamile pyaaree ankabhar pyaaro piy apanaayo ||2||
