गिरिधर पीवत दूध सीराय पिय बैठे अटा घटा देखनको छतना हाथ लगाये ॥१॥ हरित भूमि तट ठाडे गावत राग मल्हार तापर धरी सजल रस मंजरी कृष्णदास बलिहार ॥२॥

गिरिधर पीवत दूध सीराय पिय बैठे अटा घटा देखनको छतना हाथ लगाये ॥१॥
Giridhar drinks milk, while Pyari sits in the upper chamber, resting her hand upon the parapet and gazing at the rainclouds. ॥१॥

हरित भूमि तट ठाडे गावत राग मल्हार तापर धरी सजल रस मंजरी कृष्णदास बलिहार ॥२॥
Standing upon the green bank, He sings Raga Malhar, adorned with a fresh, dew-moistened flower cluster. Krishnadas offers himself again and again. ॥२॥

Giridhar peevat doodh seeraay piy baithe ataa ghataa dekhanako chhatanaa haath lagaaye ||1||

harit bhoomi tat thaade gaavat raag malhaar taapar dharee sajal ras manjaree krishnadaas balihaar ||2||
