गोरस बेचन गई बिकानी हों ही । छुटि गई लाज साज नंदलाल गहि ठाढ़ी चितवत सोंहि ॥१॥ सनमुखते ऊँचे सखी इत उत नेकु न नैना होंही । वर्यदास गिरिधर बस कीने वह छवि मुरि मुसक्योंही ॥२॥

गोरस बेचन गई बिकानी हों ही ।
छुटि गई लाज साज नंदलाल गहि ठाढ़ी चितवत सोंहि ॥१॥
I went to sell milk and curd, but I myself was sold. All modesty and composure left me; Nandalal took hold of me, and I stood there gazing only at Him. ॥१॥

सनमुखते ऊँचे सखी इत उत नेकु न नैना होंही ।
वर्यदास गिरिधर बस कीने वह छवि मुरि मुसक्योंही ॥२॥
Sakhi, standing before Him, I could not lift my eyes or turn them even slightly this way or that. Varyadas says: Giridhar brought me completely under His sway simply by turning toward me and smiling with that beautiful face. ॥२॥

goras bechan gaee bikaanee hon hee |
chhuti gaee laaj saaj Nandlaal gahi thaarhee chitavat sonhi ||1||

sanamukhate oonche sakhee it ut neku na nainaa honhee |
varyadaas Giridhar bas keene vah chhavi muri musakyonhee ||2||
