ग्वालिनजोदेखेघर आय ॥ माखनखाँय चुरायस्यामतब आपुन रही छिपाय ॥१॥ ठाडीभई मथानीकेढिंग रीतीपरीकमोरी ॥ अबहीगई आईइनपायन लेगयोको करचोरी ॥२॥ भीतरगई तहांहरिपाये स्यामपरेगहिपाय ॥ सूरदासप्रभु ग्वालिन आगे अपनोनामसुनाय ॥३॥

ग्वालिनजोदेखेघर आय ॥ माखनखाँय चुरायस्यामतब आपुन रही छिपाय ॥१॥
The cowherd woman came home and saw Shyam stealing and eating butter. She then hid herself to watch Him. ॥१॥

ठाडीभई मथानीकेढिंग रीतीपरीकमोरी ॥ अबहीगई आईइनपायन लेगयोको करचोरी ॥२॥
She stood beside the churning rod and saw that her butter pot was empty. “I had only just gone out and returned. Who has come here and stolen the butter?” ॥२॥

भीतरगई तहांहरिपाये स्यामपरेगहिपाय ॥ सूरदासप्रभु ग्वालिन आगे अपनोनामसुनाय ॥३॥
She went further inside and found Hari there. Shyam fell at her feet and held them. Surdas says that the Lord then told the cowherd woman His name. ॥३॥
