हरिरस तबहीं तो जाय पैये ॥ स्वाद विवाद हर्ष आतुरता इतने दंडजो सहिये ॥१॥ कोमलवचन दीनता सबसों सदां प्रफुल्लित रहिये ॥ गए नहीं सोच आएनहिं आनंद ऐसे मारग वहिये ॥२॥ ऐसी जो आवे जियमाहीं ताके भाग्यकी कहा कहिये ॥ अष्टसिद्धि सूरस्यामपैं जो चहिये सो लहिये ॥३॥

हरिरस तबहीं तो | Hariras Tabahin To

हरिरस तबहीं तो जाय पैये ॥ स्वाद विवाद हर्ष आतुरता इतने दंडजो सहिये ॥१॥  
Only then can the rasa of Hari be attained, when one endures and rises above the blows of taste, argument, excitement, and restlessness. ॥१॥

कोमलवचन दीनता सबसों सदां प्रफुल्लित रहिये ॥ गए नहीं सोच आएनहिं आनंद ऐसे मारग वहिये ॥२॥  
Speak gently, remain humble toward everyone, and always stay cheerful. Do not grieve when something departs, nor become elated when something comes; walk on the path in this way. ॥२॥

ऐसी जो आवे जियमाहीं ताके भाग्यकी कहा कहिये ॥ अष्टसिद्धि सूरस्यामपैं जो चहिये सो लहिये ॥३॥  
If such a state arises within the heart, what can be said of that person’s good fortune? Sur says: with Shyam, even the eight siddhis—and whatever else one may desire—are obtained. ॥३॥

hariras tabaheen to jaay paiye ||
svaad vivaad harsh aaturataa itane dandajo sahiye ||1||

komalavachan deenataa sabason sadaan praphullit rahiye ||
gae naheen soch aaenahin aanand aise maarag vahiye ||2||

aisee jo aave jiyamaaheen taake bhaagyakee kahaa kahiye ||
ashtasiddhi soorasyaamapain jo chahiye so lahiye ||3||
