हिलगन कठिन हे यामनकी ॥ जाके लियें सुनों मेरीसजनी लाजगईसबतनकी ॥१॥ लोकहसो परलोकहिजाओ ओर देओ कुलगारी ॥ सोक्योंरहे ताहि विनदेखें जोजाकोहितकारी ॥२॥ रसुलब्धनिमिषनहीं छांडत ज्यों आधीनमृगगानें ॥ कुम्भनदासस्नेहमरमकी श्रीगोवर्द्धनधर जानें ॥३॥

हिलगन कठिन हे यामनकी ॥  
जाके लियें सुनों मेरीसजनी लाजगईसबतनकी ॥१॥
This attachment of my heart is very difficult. Listen, my sakhi—for His sake, all sense of modesty has left me. ॥१॥

लोकहसो परलोकहिजाओ ओर देओ कुलगारी ॥  
सोक्योंरहे ताहि विनदेखें जोजाकोहितकारी ॥२॥
Let people laugh, let the next world be lost, and let the family reproach me. How can one remain without seeing the one who is truly dear to her? ॥२॥

रसुलब्धनिमिषनहीं छांडत ज्यों आधीनमृगगानें ॥  
कुम्भनदासस्नेहमरमकी श्रीगोवर्द्धनधर जानें ॥३॥
Having attained this joy, one cannot leave it even for a moment, just as a deer becomes completely captivated by music. Kumbhandas says: Shri Govardhandhar alone knows the true secret of this affection. ॥३॥

jaake liyen sunon mereesajanee laajagaeesabatanakee ||1||

lokahaso paralokahijaao or deo kulagaaree ||
sokyonrahe taahi vinadekhen jojaakohitakaaree ||2||

rasulabdhanimishanaheen chhaandat jyon aadheenamrigagaanen ||
kumbhanadaasasnehamaramakee Shreegovarddhanadhar jaanen ||3||
