हिंडोरे झूलन आये मेरे भोर। लटपटी पाग उनीदे से लागत नेना भए हैं चकोर ॥१॥ तडफ तडफ मोहे चार जाम बीती बोलत है तमचोर। लाल गोपाल तुम कहा जू रहे हौ जाओ वाही ओर ॥२॥

डोरे झूलन आये मेरे भोर। लटपटी पाग उनीदे से लागत नेना भए हैं चकोर ॥१॥
At daybreak, you have come to swing upon the hindora. Your turban is slightly disarranged, and your eyes look drowsy and wide like those of a chakor bird. ॥१॥

तडफ तडफ मोहे चार जाम बीती बोलत है तमचोर। लाल गोपाल तुम कहा जू रहे हौ जाओ वाही ओर ॥२॥
I passed all four watches of the night in restless longing, says Tamchor. O dear Gopal, where have you been? Now go back in that direction. ॥२॥

hindore jhoolan aaye mere bhor |
latapatee paag uneede se laagat nenaa bhae hain chakor ||1||

tadaph tadaph mohe chaar jaam beetee bolat hai tamachor |
laal Gopaal tum kahaa joo rahe hau jaao vaahee or ||2||
