इतहि श्याम गोपन संग ठाडे ॥ भोजन करत अधिक रुचिबाढे ॥१॥ गिरि तन शोभा श्याम बिराजे ॥ श्यामहि छबि गिरिवरकी छाजे ॥२॥ गिरिवर उरहि पीतांबर धारें ॥ मोतिनकी उरमाला भारें ॥३॥ अंग भूषण श्रवण मणि कुंडल ॥ मोर मुकुट शिर अलकें कुंतल ॥४॥ छबि निरखत सब घोष कुमारी ॥ गोवर्द्धन छबि श्याम तुमारी ॥५॥ सूरश्याम लीलारस नायक ॥ जन्म जन्म भक्तन सुखदायक ॥६॥

इतहि श्याम गोपन संग ठाडे ॥
भोजन करत अधिक रुचिबाढे ॥१॥
Here Shyam stands among the Gopas. As He eats, His delight grows more and more. ॥१॥

गिरि तन शोभा श्याम बिराजे ॥
श्यामहि छबि गिरिवरकी छाजे ॥२॥
Shyam shines beautifully in the form of the mountain, and the splendour of Girivar shines in Shyam. ॥२॥

गिरिवर उरहि पीतांबर धारें ॥
मोतिनकी उरमाला भारें ॥३॥
Girivar wears a Pitambar upon His form, with a magnificent necklace of pearls upon His chest. ॥३॥

अंग भूषण श्रवण मणि कुंडल ॥
मोर मुकुट शिर अलकें कुंतल ॥४॥
Ornaments adorn His limbs and jeweled kundals His ears. A peacock-feather crown rests upon His head, framed by curling locks of hair. ॥४॥

छबि निरखत सब घोष कुमारी ॥
गोवर्द्धन छबि श्याम तुमारी ॥५॥
All the young maidens of the cowherd settlement gaze upon His beauty: “O Shyam, this form of Govardhan is Yours.” ॥५॥

सूरश्याम लीलारस नायक ॥
जन्म जन्म भक्तन सुखदायक ॥६॥
Sur says: Shyam is the Nayak of the rasa of Leela, the giver of joy to His devotees birth after birth. ॥६॥

giri tan shobhaa shyaam biraaje ||
shyaamahi chhabi girivarakee chhaaje ||2||

girivar urahi peetaambar dhaaren ||
motinakee uramaalaa bhaaren ||3||

ang bhooshan shravan mani kundal ||
mor mukut shir alaken kuntal ||4||

chhabi nirakhat sab ghosh kumaaree ||
govarddhan chhabi shyaam tumaaree ||5||

soorashyaam leelaaras naayak ||
janm janm bhaktan sukhadaayak ||6||
