जसोदा नहीं वरजे अपनोबाल ॥ अपनो बाल रसिया गोपाल ॥ध्रु०॥ स्नान करन गई जमुनातीर ॥ करकंकन अभरन धरेचीर ॥ मेरी जल प्रवाह तन गई दीठि ॥ पाछेतें कान्ह मेरी मलत पीठि ॥१॥ यह अन्न न खाय मुख पीवे नखीर ॥ यह केतीक वार गयो जमुनातीर ॥ होंवा रोंरी ग्वालिन तेरो ग्यान ॥ यह पलना झूले मेरो वारो कान्ह ॥२॥ वृंदावन देखेमे तरुन कान्ह ॥ घर आये केसें भये अयान ॥ उठि चलीरी ग्वालि जिय उपजी लाज ॥ सुरदास ये प्रभुके काज ॥३॥

जसोदा नहीं वरजे अपनोबाल ॥ अपनो बाल रसिया गोपाल ॥ध्रु०॥
Yashodā does not stop her own boy; her own boy, the playful Gopāl. ॥ध्रु०॥

स्नान करन गई जमुनातीर ॥ करकंकन अभरन धरेचीर ॥
I went to the bank of Yamunā to bathe, wearing bangles and ornaments, with my clothes on.

मेरी जल प्रवाह तन गई दीठि ॥ पाछेतें कान्ह मेरी मलत पीठि ॥१॥
As I entered the flowing water, Kānha came behind me and rubbed my back. ॥१॥

यह अन्न न खाय मुख पीवे नखीर ॥ यह केतीक वार गयो जमुनातीर ॥
“He does not eat grain; He drinks only milk. How many times has He gone to the bank of Yamunā?

होंवा रोंरी ग्वालिन तेरो ग्यान ॥ यह पलना झूले मेरो वारो कान्ह ॥२॥
O quarrelsome cowherdess, what do you know? This is my dear Kānha, who swings in this cradle.” ॥२॥

वृंदावन देखेमे तरुन कान्ह ॥ घर आये केसें भये अयान ॥
Seeing young Kānha in Vṛndāvan, she wonders: “How did He come home like this?”

उठि चलीरी ग्वालि जिय उपजी लाज ॥ सुरदास ये प्रभुके काज ॥३॥
The cowherdess gets up and leaves, feeling shy in her heart. Sūrdās says: these are Prabhu’s ways. ॥३॥

honvaa ronree gvaalin tero gyaan ||
yah palanaa jhoole mero vaaro kaanh ||2||

vrindaavan dekheme tarun kaanh ||
ghar aaye kesen bhaye ayaan ||
uthi chaleeree gvaali jiy upajee laaj ||
suradaas ye prabhuke kaaj ||3||
