झुम -झूमि आईरी घन घटा ॥ पोठि रहो घनस्याम सोई घर सोई रहो सोई नंद नंदन पोढि रहो बृषभानु अटा ॥१॥ निसी अंधीयारी कारी गेल हु न सुझत अति ही बिकट रेन महा बिकटा ॥ 'धोंधी' के प्रभु पीये दंपति परसपर मिलि रस रंग करो ऐकटा ॥२॥

झुम -झूमि आईरी घन घटा ॥ पोठि रहो घनस्याम सोई घर सोई रहो सोई नंद नंदन पोढि रहो बृषभानु अटा ॥१॥

The dark rain clouds have come swaying in. O Ghanshyam, please remain here; O Nand Nandan, stay and rest in Vrishabhanu’s home. ॥१॥

निसी अंधीयारी कारी गेल हु न सुझत अति ही बिकट रेन महा बिकटा ॥ 'धोंधी' के प्रभु पीये दंपति परसपर मिलि रस रंग करो ऐकटा ॥२॥

The night is very dark; even the path cannot be seen, and the night is extremely difficult. Dhondhi’s beloved Lord and the divine couple remain together, sharing one joyful delight. ॥२॥

jhum -jhoomi aaeeree ghan ghataa ||
pothi raho ghanasyaam soee ghar soee raho soee Nand nandan podhi raho brishabhaanu ataa ||1||

nisee andheeyaaree kaaree gel hu na sujhat ati hee bikat ren mahaa bikataa ||
'dhondhee' ke prabhu peeye dampati parasapar mili ras rang karo aikataa ||2||
