## Original text

Raga Bilaval)

How long has Shyam been tied to the mortar? The lotus-eyed One is kept outside, while you sit inside the abode of comfort ॥

You are merciless; no pity arises in you, absorbed as you are in household work. See Shyam's face withered from hunger, His body so very tender ॥

Untie Him quickly; a long while has passed, as if ages and watches have gone by. Out of fear of you, no one comes near, and even Ram cannot speak ॥
