कहतकहत शशि रैनगई नहिं मानत पिय प्यारी हो ॥ समुझाये समझत नहीं और खरी यह निठुर देखी भारीहो ॥१॥ छलबल बुद्धि में केते कीनों मेरी तो चरणरसना हारीहो ॥ अब नाहिं और उपाय कछु आपन चलियेजू गोविंदप्रभुजू विहारीहो ॥२॥

कहतकहत शशि रैनगई नहिं मानत पिय प्यारी हो ॥ समुझाये समझत नहीं और खरी यह निठुर देखी भारीहो ॥१॥
The moonlit night has passed while I have continued persuading her, yet the dear beloved still refuses to relent. However much I try to make her understand, she does not listen. I have found her to be truly very stubborn and unyielding. ॥१॥

छलबल बुद्धि में केते कीनों मेरी तो चरणरसना हारीहो ॥ अब नाहिं और उपाय कछु आपन चलियेजू गोविंदप्रभुजू विहारीहो ॥२॥
I have tried so many ways, using cleverness, persuasion and every means at my command. My feet and tongue have grown weary. Now I have no other remedy left. Come, let us go, dear Govind Prabhu, O Vihari. ॥२॥
