कहो कहां खेलेहो लालन बात कहो मोसों बनकी ॥ आवो उछंग सांवरे मोहन गोरज पोछूं वदनकी ॥१॥ सुंदर वदन कमल कुम्हलानो और दशा भई या तनकी ॥ रसिकप्रीतमसों कहत नंदरानी बलबल छगन मगनकी ॥२॥

कहो कहां खेलेहो लालन बात कहो मोसों बनकी ॥ आवो उछंग सांवरे मोहन गोरज पोछूं वदनकी ॥१॥
“Tell me, my beloved child, where have You been playing? Tell me about Your time in the forest. Come into my lap, my dear dark-complexioned Mohan, so I may gently wipe the dust raised by the cows from Your face.” ॥१॥

सुंदर वदन कमल कुम्हलानो और दशा भई या तनकी ॥ रसिकप्रीतमसों कहत नंदरानी बलबल छगन मगनकी ॥२॥
“Your beautiful lotus-like face has become wilted, and look at the condition of Your body!” Thus speaks Mother Yashoda to Rasik Pritam, lovingly taking balaiya again and again of her darling, Chhagan Magan. ॥२॥
