खेलन अब मेरी जाय बलैया ॥ जबही मोहि देखत लरिकनसंग तबही खीजत है बलभैया ॥१॥ मोसों कहे तात बसुदेवको देवकी तेरी मैया ॥ मोललियो कछूदे बसुदेवहिं करकर यतन बढैया ॥२॥ अब बाबा कहत नंदसों यशुमतिसों कहि मैया ॥ ऐसे कहि तब मोहि खिजाबत तब उठ चल्यो खिसैया ॥३॥ पाछे नंदसुनत हैं ठाडे हँसत हँसत उरलैया ॥ सूरनंद बलरामहि खीजत योंसुनहरखबदैया ॥४॥

खेलन अब मेरी जाय बलैया ॥ जबही मोहि देखत लरिकनसंग तबही खीजत है बलभैया ॥१॥
“Whenever I go out to play, Mother, Brother Balram troubles me. As soon as He sees me with the other boys, He begins teasing me.” ॥१॥

मोसों कहे तात बसुदेवको देवकी तेरी मैया ॥ मोललियो कछूदे बसुदेवहिं करकर यतन बढैया ॥२॥
“He tells me, ‘Your father is Vasudev, and Devaki is your mother. Nand and Yashoda gave Vasudev something in exchange for you and bought you, then raised you with great care.’” ॥२॥

अब बाबा कहत नंदसों यशुमतिसों कहि मैया ॥ ऐसे कहि तब मोहि खिजाबत तब उठ चल्यो खिसैया ॥३॥
“‘Now you call Nand your father and Yashoda your mother!’ He says such things to tease me, and I become upset and walk away.” ॥३॥

पाछे नंदसुनत हैं ठाडे हँसत हँसत उरलैया ॥ सूरनंद बलरामहि खीजत योंसुनहरखबदैया ॥४॥
Nand is standing behind them, listening. Laughing, he takes Krishna lovingly into his arms. Surdas says that Nand playfully scolds Balram, while both parents are delighted by what they have heard. ॥४॥

jabahee mohi dekhat larikanasang tabahee kheejat hai balabhaiyaa ||1||

moson kahe taat basudevako devakee teree maiyaa ||
molaliyo kachhoode basudevahin karakar yatan badhaiyaa ||2||

ab baabaa kahat nandason yashumatison kahi maiyaa ||
aise kahi tab mohi khijaabat tab uth chalyo khisaiyaa ||3||

paachhe nandasunat hain thaade hansat hansat uralaiyaa ||
sooranand balaraamahi kheejat yonsunaharakhabadaiyaa ||4||
