खेलनस्याम दूरगयोरी ॥ संगसंगधावत डोलतकैधोंबहुत अबेरभयोरी ॥१॥ पलकओटछांडतनहिंमोकूँ कहाकहूँ तोहिबात ॥ नंदहितात तातकर बोलत मोहिकहतहैमात ॥२॥ इतनीकहत स्यामघनआये ग्वालसखासंगचीन्हों ॥ दौरजाय उरलाय सूरप्रभु हरखयशोदा लीन्हों ॥३॥

खेलनस्याम दूरगयोरी ॥ संगसंगधावत डोलतकैधोंबहुत अबेरभयोरी ॥१॥
“Shyam has gone far away to play! Perhaps He has been running and wandering about with His friends, and that is why He has taken so long to return.” ॥१॥

पलकओटछांडतनहिंमोकूँ कहाकहूँ तोहिबात ॥ नंदहितात तातकर बोलत मोहिकहतहैमात ॥२॥
“He never likes to be away from me, even for the blink of an eye. What can I tell you? Even while speaking to His father Nand, He calls out to me, ‘Mother!’” ॥२॥

इतनीकहत स्यामघनआये ग्वालसखासंगचीन्हों ॥ दौरजाय उरलाय सूरप्रभु हरखयशोदा लीन्हों ॥३॥
Just as she was saying this, dark-cloud-complexioned Shyam returned with His cowherd friends. Recognising Him, Yashoda joyfully ran towards Him, gathered Him into her arms, and held Him close to her heart, says Surdas. ॥३॥
