लहेकन लागीरी बसंतबहार मानो बनवारी लाग्यो बहकन ॥ ना जानो जब कहा करेंगे लागे हे पलास द्रुम डहकन ॥१॥ मदनभर केकीहूक काढत बरुणवरण दुम पुष्पलागे महेकन ॥ आनंद घन तुम कित हो बिरम रहे इत कोकिला लागे कुहुकन ॥२॥

लहेकन लागीरी बसंतबहार मानो बनवारी लाग्यो बहकन ॥ ना जानो जब कहा करेंगे लागे हे पलास द्रुम डहकन ॥१॥
The beauty of spring has begun to glow; it seems that Banvārī has begun to wander about. We do not know when He will come; the palāś trees have begun to blaze with flowers. ॥१ ॥

मदनभर केकीहूक काढत बरुणवरण दुम पुष्पलागे महेकन ॥ आनंद घन तुम कित हो बिरम रहे इत कोकिला लागे कुहुकन ॥२॥
The peacock, filled with the joy of spring, gives its call; the trees, with their red-colored flowers, have begun to spread their fragrance. O dense cloud of bliss, where are You staying? Here, the cuckoos have begun to call. ॥२ ॥

lahekan laageeree basantabahaar maano Banwaaree laagyo bahakan ||
naa jaano jab kahaa karenge laage he palaas drum dahakan ||1||

madanabhar kekeehook kaadhat barunavaran dum pushpalaage mahekan ||
aanand ghan tum kit ho biram rahe it kokilaa laage kuhukan ||2||
