लाल मेरी सुरंग चूनरी देहु ॥ मदन मोहन पिय झगरो कोने वद्यो अपनों पीतपट लेहु ॥१॥ तुम व्रजराज कुमार कोनडर हों कहाकहूंगी गेह ॥ गोविन्द प्रभु पिय देहु बेगि अब आवत चहुंदिशतें मेह ॥२॥

लाल मेरी सुरंग चूनरी देहु ॥ मदन मोहन पिय झगरो कोने वद्यो अपनों पीतपट लेहु ॥१॥
Lal, please give me my beautifully colored chunari. Madan Mohan Piya, who told You to quarrel with me? Take Your own Pitambar instead. ॥१॥

तुम व्रजराज कुमार कोनडर हों कहाकहूंगी गेह ॥ गोविन्द प्रभु पिय देहु बेगि अब आवत चहुंदिशतें मेह ॥२॥
You are the prince of Vrajraj—of whom should I be afraid? But what shall I say when I reach home? Govind says: O Prabhu Piya, please return my chunari quickly, for rain is gathering from every direction. ॥२॥

laal meree surang choonaree dehu ||
madan mohan piy jhagaro kone vadyo apanon peetapat lehu ||1||

tum vrajaraaj kumaar konadar hon kahaakahoongee geh ||
Govind prabhu piy dehu begi ab aavat chahundishaten meh ||2||
