लाल तेरी फिर फिर जात सगाई ॥ चोरीकी बात छांडदे मोहन लरलर जात लुगाई ॥१ ॥ दूध दही घरमें बहुतेरो माखन और मलाई ॥ आसकरन प्रभु मोहन नागर फिरगये बामन नाई ॥२ ॥

लाल तेरी फिर फिर जात सगाई ॥
चोरीकी बात छांडदे मोहन लरलर जात लुगाई ॥१ ॥
“Lala, again and again Your marriage proposal falls through. Give up this habit of stealing, Mohan—the women keep quarrelling about it.” ॥१॥

दूध दही घरमें बहुतेरो माखन और मलाई ॥
“There is plenty of milk and curd at home, as well as butter and cream.”

आसकरन प्रभु मोहन नागर फिरगये बामन नाई ॥२ ॥
Aaskaran says: for Prabhu Mohan Nagar, the Brahmin and the barber have once again returned without arranging the match. ॥२॥

choreekee baat chhaandade mohan laralar jaat lugaaee ||1||

doodh dahee gharamen bahutero maakhan aur malaaee ||
aasakaran prabhu mohan naagar phiragaye baaman naaee ||2||
