लालके फेंटा अेंठा अमेठा बन्यो फब्यो भ्रगुटीभाल पर नवल नंदलाल के आवत बनते बने सांझ सुरभिन मांझ । अटक लटक नरहि डगन ब्रज बालक ॥१॥ चलत गजगति चाल मन हरत तेहि काल बाहु अंसन धरें सखा प्रिय ग्वाल के । गोपीजन युथ जुरे द्वार द्वार खडा निरख नंदलाल युवति जन जालके ॥२॥

लालके फेंटा अेंठा अमेठा बन्यो फब्यो भ्रगुटीभाल पर नवल नंदलाल के आवत बनते बने सांझ सुरभिन मांझ । अटक लटक नरहि डगन ब्रज बालक ॥१॥  
Lal’s headcloth, twisted and artfully tied, looks beautiful upon the brow of the ever-fresh Nandlal. At dusk He comes, beautifully adorned, amidst the cows; the Vraj boy’s steps move with graceful pauses and swaying motion. ॥१॥

चलत गजगति चाल मन हरत तेहि काल बाहु अंसन धरें सखा प्रिय ग्वाल के । गोपीजन युथ जुरे द्वार द्वार खडा निरख नंदलाल युवति जन जालके ॥२॥  
He walks with the stately gait of an elephant, stealing the heart at that very moment, with His arms resting upon the shoulders of His dear cowherd friends. Groups of gopis gather and stand at every doorway, gazing upon Nandlal, while bands of young women surround Him. ॥२॥

atak latak narahi dagan Braj baalak ||1||

chalat gajagati chaal man harat tehi kaal baahu ansan dharen sakhaa priy gvaal ke |
gopeejan yuth jure dvaar dvaar khadaa nirakh Nandlaal yuvati jan jaalake ||2||
