लालको रोटी और वडी ॥ हींग लगाय मिरच पुटदीनो करुबे तेल तरी ॥१॥ आन कनिक द्वयविरिया छानी बेलन बेल करी पतरी ॥ कटहरियाप्रभुको रुचि उपजी माखनसो चुपरी ॥२॥

लालको रोटी और वडी ॥
For Lala there are roti and vadi. 

हींग लगाय मिरच पुटदीनो करुबे तेल तरी ॥१॥
The vadi is seasoned with hing and a touch of chilli, then fried in fragrant oil. ॥१॥

आन कनिक द्वयविरिया छानी बेलन बेल करी पतरी ॥
A little more flour is brought and sifted; small portions are made and rolled out thin with the rolling pin.

कटहरियाप्रभुको रुचि उपजी माखनसो चुपरी ॥२॥
Prabhu develops a liking for these little rotis, so they are lovingly spread with fresh butter for Him. ॥२॥

heeng lagaay mirach putadeeno karube tel taree ||1||

aan kanik dvayaviriyaa chhaanee belan bel karee pataree ||
katahariyaaprabhuko ruchi upajee maakhanaso chuparee ||2||
